Set up by local rider Amie Marsh, Dirty Girls Ride was started to organise a couple of meetups each year so that new people can meet other like minded ladies and progress in a supportive environment.
We caught up with Amie for a bit of info behind the group, ‘I set it up in 2010 when I first started riding as there were not many girls to ride with and I was crashing a lot with the boys. From starting DGR, I have made some great, like-minded friends to ride with.’
‘Its a free meetup group and it has served me, as well as many others, as a fantastic networking system for the ladies in town.’
‘Yesterday’s ride had a great turn out considering the weather. It was also great to see several french ladies with us. so it was good mix bringing the Brit and French side of the village biking community together’
‘The next meet up will be in July. We will tackle a more challenging track together to practice some more technical riding’
Make sure you follow them on Facebook to keep up to date with all the latest info on the meet ups!
