They learn so quickly, you’ll wish you had started so young!

Activities

In the winter certainly skiing and snowboarding lessons as part of a group is the ideal way of getting them started, whilst you can get a good ski in, having left them in their lessons. Our concierge service can help guide and direct you when searching for the perfect lesson set up.

From 3 years old, the ESF’s Piou Piou club is a wonderful mix of beginner ski lessons and childcare, all under a purpose built chalet at the bottom of the Pleney slopes and right next door to our hotel. It’s great value, highly recommended and books up quickly! From 5 years your little one can join one of the many English speaking schools, in small personal groups to make the most of the 2 hour lesson.

In the summer, you could be here for 2 weeks and do a different activity each day! The Indiana Parc in the Dereche is a tree climbing, zip lining adventure centre, suitable from 2 years, the summer luge, horse riding, white water rafting, climbing, canyoning… We can easily help you to bespoke and book your stay’s activities before you arrive, so you know your schedule, if that makes it easier for you!

FAQ

My children’s lessons finish each day at 12:00, my husband and I would like to ski for another couple of hours, can we arrange someone to meet them?

Of course! Subject to availability our nannies can be booked for an afternoon to meet the children after their lesson, accompany them to our hotel, give them lunch and entertain until you collect them.

Should we buy helmets for the children?

There is no need to, our ski hire company Doorstep Ski’s provide helmets which are adjustable and made to fit perfectly.

How many layers do we make sure the children have on? I don’t want them to be too cold or too hot!

Our team will be able to guide you as to how cold it’ll be up the mountain. Generally it’s easier to ‘dump’ heat than make it and if you layer up you can easily remove them. Try to buy really waterproof resistant outer layers (that has a minimum of 2,000 ml) and wear only water wicking resistant fabrics next to the skin. We can also advice you on all parts of your kit! Just ask!
