Here is all the travel information you need for your ski holiday in Morzine.
All you need to know about the snow, the town, and the surrounding area.
Here at Mountain Mavericks we are big fans of winter in all it's forms and will always cheer for snow, but it's hard to not get a bit excited about the on set of spring and the arrival of the sun. Longer days and more sunshine makes more time to have fun.
We have had such a good time of snow so far this season that the base will last happily through to the end and we can be sure of great spring conditions. The softer snow and more comfortable temperatures are great for beginners and getting into the park, as well as a good lunch, but as the lifts are open longer you can still get your skiing time as well.
There is always a host of things to do in our lovely town, but in celebration of being outside in the sun, there are few extra special events this spring.
18-24th March is all about music, with the return of Rock The Piste and it's free concerts. This years line up includes The Horrors, Alice Merton and Oscar and the Wolf.
Our friends at Evolution 2 are doing an offer of get an instructor for 65€ per person for the day. He can improve your skiing or snowboarding, show you a few harder to find areas and get you to and back from the concert.
The same week also has Snowboxx going on in Avoriaz. Headline acts being Fatboy Slim and Chase and Status, as well as a whole load of other events and parties. Travel is available from Morzine for the evening concerts.
April 11-14th we play host to the Natural Games. 4 days of snowsports competition, exhibitions and of course rounded off with a few parties. Slopestyle and snowcross, mixed with speedriding and highline (the freestyle version of tightrope walking), should be an exciting few days with plenty to add to the excitement.
Here in Morzine Avoriaz we like to close the season with a bang. The celebration starts at lunch on the mountain and moves non stop to the now famous end of season party at the Aubergade. If you like a little partying with your skiing then this weekend is just right for you.
As if the prospect of skiing in the sun wasn't enough of a lure on it's own. On top of already great pricing, we have a number opportunities to make some savings and the prospect of spring skiing all the more enticing.
